synopsis
Saint Rose follows Rose, a Lebanese housewife and mother preparing for her daughter’s engagement ceremony as she quietly absorbs the weight of a controlling marriage and the suffocating expectations surrounding her. As the celebration unfolds downstairs, Rose repeatedly retreats to the only private space she has left, her bathroom, where moments of solitude become acts of survival.
Over the course of the evening, Saint Rose charts the psychological unraveling of a woman pushed to the edge by expectation, control, and isolation.
